Look What I Bought My First Time Visiting a Black-Owned Dispensary in L.A.

I’ve been to the rather popular Cookies on Melrose, and I’ve driven girlfriends visiting LA from out-of-town to whatever random dispensary was the closest. But, this time, because I was planning to actually buy something, you know I had to search for a Black-owned weed shop in Los Angeles.

I’m not well-versed in marijuana, nor am I really interested in becoming an expert at this moment, so I won’t try to explain much. I’ll just tell you what I bought.

What I Got From a Dispensary in LA for $100

4.5 grams of marijuana in raw form

30 servings of marijuana in edible form

  • vegan watermelon gummies

    from Froot
    hybrid cannabis-infused

    10 servings

  • natural huckleberry gummies

    from Wyld

    hybrid cannabis-infused

    20 servings

Yep, that’s what I spent $100 on today. (5 of those dollars was a tip I left for the “budtender”, as they call themselves; as someone that has waited tables, I can’t go anywhere, be serviced, see a tip jar and not put something in it)

The four items I bought, and a sticker, from California Cannabis off Melrose in Los Angeles.

How did I do?

I didn’t know my head from my ass in that weed shop, okay?! All I knew was that I wanted to buy my brother a birthday gift. The slim, Black girl, that greeted me when I walked in, guided me through their many offerings. She asked me what my brother likes to smoke, and all I could say was “a lot.” And I do mean a lot. When I’m by his house, it seems that a rollie of that ganja is never far away.

To my weed smokers and edible eaters, did I get a fair amount for what I spent? Did I make good selections?

This is not a sponsored blog post. Please share this with anybody in your contact log that has a beating heart so I can grow my blog to the level of receiving free weed. I’m sure my brother would love that.
