I started this draft September 7th. Above is as far as I’d gotten. El oh el. Nowhere.
Payments were the priority.
Well, shoot, it’s November 1st and payments are still the priority. For the private villa, we’re past due 6k. The good news is, that’s right on the math; there’s still a total of 6k to be collected across 7 ladies. Buuuuuuut the bad news might be that those funds aren’t able to be collected (a few ladies may not be able to join us in Barbados). Sooooooooo, this is where I insert that TikTok audio “I gotta figure out how to get this money by tomorrow.”
I’m giggling on the outside, but I’m crying on the inside. I have to figure out where the money is going to come from if/when ladies dropout; whatever their balance owed is, I have to come up with. If they would’ve dropped out sooner, I could've invited other ladies to fill their spots, and boom, done, no deficit. However, now, only a month away from departure, it would be kinda wild to hit folks like, “hey, I know I’m inviting you last-minute, but ya got $2,050 to spare right quick?!”
That being said, I ain’t thinking ‘bout no outfits myself. But y’all go’on ‘head and get y’all ‘fits togethaaaaaaaaa!
B. Barry just KNEW I was going to have a specific coordination for every moment of every day, but I’m not thaaaaaat extra. (Okay, yes, I am, but y’all lucked out that I’m distracted with more pressing matters). As much as I would like a cohesive aesthetic throughout, I’m not going to buss y’all over the head with “neon colors Tuesday, animal print Wednesday, soft pastels Thursday”.
There are enough associated expenses, so I want you to be able to wear as much from your closet as possible.

Before the monotone and nudes look was a fashion trend, I’ve BEEN obsessed with nudes. I was a “plain Jane” when it was an insult to be “basic”. Baby, I love a basic! And in my home, I’ve kept everything all white since moving out on my own.
My personal style has always been simplistic and on this day I’d like you to join me in creating an aesthetic that will make my nipples spin!
For the Love of Nudes
color: naked. as close to your skin tone as possible
attire: naked. island vibes
Black and Goddess
color: ALL white, please no pops of color
attire: RNB, bourgeoisie
Wear that all white when I’m feeling godly.
Let me give credit where credit is due. Not sure if LeeZa remembers this, but while we were in the Caribbean for her 21st birthday (dang, wild that was 8 years ago), the Dominican ship captain insisted on speaking Spanish to me, swearing I was a Latina, causing the cruise director to be talking about it when we met LeeZa by the elevator. Eversen, the Black cruise director from Atlanta, probably cracked a joke or two, and I don’t remember what witty remark I made back, but I remember LeeZa saying, “when people ask me what I’m mixed with, I say ‘Black and goddess.” I told her I was stealing that one. Though, in the moment, it’s never come to mind to use that response, it’s coming in handy now for the theme name of our all white night. 😆
